Birds playing new songs
The Chadron State College Birds return to Wrecker’s Roadhouse at 8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, March 23) to play their unique blend of soul, funk, Motown and soul-jazz.
“We have a few new arrangements for this week’s performance. Emily Lisko will sing Aretha Franklin’s ‘Think,’ the newest singer, Christianne Roth will sing Bonnie Raitt’s version of ‘Blender Blues,’ and Trevor Reisig will sing a Frank Sinatra version of ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin,’” said Dr. Sandy Schaefer, the group’s leader. “This year, our new singers have added a whole new dimension to the CSC Bird sound.”
