Fusion music is topic of first Graves Series lecture

Charles Carey, a member of the Chadron State College music faculty, will open the fall portion of CSC’s Graves Lecture Series on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

The presentation begins at 7 p.m. in room 108 of the Reta King Library. It is open to the public free of charge.

Carey, who teaches guitar, will speak about jazz fusion and its pioneers, such as Chick Corea and Steve Morse. Carey also plans to perform during the presentation.

The lecture is the first of five presentations scheduled for the Graves Series this fall.
