Nine bands to battle Friday
Nine acts will square off during the Chadron State College Public Relations Club’s Battle of the Bands this week.
The bands will perform 7-11 p.m. Friday, April 15, at the Student Center ballroom. The $3 admission fee will be waived for people carrying a CSC ID.
Public Relations Club officer Bethany Cook of Hot Springs, S.D., said nine bands have entered representing a variety of genres.
“We were very happy with the response. We can’t take any more bands and there is a waiting list,” she said. “We have everything from hardcore metal to alternative to country.”
Following are the bands entered in the competition. They are Bless Me Ultima, Alliance; Chronic Carnage, Gordon; The Geo-Tones, Chadron; Hell Fire, Kimball; Known by Name, Chadron; The Raging Derilicts, Scottsbluff; The Shon Townsend Band, Alliance; Sky Blue Pink, Chadron; and The Unemployed Gigalos, Chadron.
