Recital features CSC music faculty
Chadron State College’s music educators will show off their wide array of tuneful talents during the Faculty Recital on Sunday, Feb. 27. The free concert will be at 3 p.m. the Sandoz Center.
Faculty members who plan to perform are Laura Empson, clarinet, Adam Lambert, trumpet, Sandy Schaefer, marimba, Joel Schreuder, vocals, Lauren Stephens, flute, and Una Taylor, vocals. Piano accompaniment will be provided by James Margetts.
The event will include Schreuder singing pieces from “A Shropshire Lad,” Lambert performing “Fantasie: Variations on ‘The Carnival Venice,’” Schaefer performing a piece titled “Two Mexican Dances,” and Empson playing the first movement of “Sonatina.” Taylor and Stephens plan to combine their talents for one of the recital’s numbers.
